By payment of booking fee you are agreeing to my following terms & conditions and entering into a contract.

Please check every detail of the T & C’s to understand the process and avoid any kind of misunderstanding.

BOOKING FEE

A non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee of £20PP is due to secure your Wedding date.

The booking fee is then deducted from the final balance due on the day.

Booking fee’s are forfeited on cancellation or rearrangement by the client.

Your booking isn’t secure until I have received your booking fee and have been notified that the booking fee has been sent and that you have read and understood these T&C’s.

For Occasion and Bridal Trials a non-refundable booking fee of £10PP is required to secure your chosen date.

TRAINING BOOKING FEE

I will require the following non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee to secure training date:

  • 1-2-1 Self Application Lesson – £50PP booking fee
  • 1-2-1 Bridal/occasion MUA Lesson – £100PP booking fee
  • Complete 12 week MUA Course – £500PP booking fee

COMMUNICATION

The most efficient way to discuss all important elements of your booking is via my email avriljarrett@gmail.com

I personally reply to all of my enquiries aiming to respond within 2-3 business days between the hours of 9am – 5pm. During peak wedding season (May – October) this may increase to 5-7 business days. Please note that when I am doing makeup appointments my time & focus is solely on that client in the chair and there is no time to answer messages, I’m only human so if a message has been missed please give me a little nudge.

PAYMENTS

Acceptable forms of payment are bank transfer, cash, or Paypal;

  • Payments made via Paypal are subject to an administration fee. The final payment must have been received at least 48hrs before the booked wedding date.
  • Payments can be made by cash but must be collected by the bride in an envelope before makeup has started on the day.
  • Payments made via bank transfer must be cleared in full, before any services are received or performed. The final payment must have been received at least 48hrs before the booked wedding date.

If you are receiving payments from third parties who wish to contribute, this should be managed amongst yourselves before the wedding day, I only accept remaining balance in full from Bride.

Please do not make any full payments prior to 48 hours before your wedding day, this makes it more difficult for me to track payments and can cause confusion if made too far in advance.

TRAVEL

25 miles of travel is included with each booking (please note I am based in Leigh on sea, Essex) I am happy to travel to any Venue but an additional mileage will incur a fee at a rate of 50p per mile for 2023 & 60p per mile for 2024/2025

If location is further than 2hours from myself a hotel room the night before will be required with the responsibility of this being with yourself.

LOCATION

It is the brides responsibility to provide clear information so that I can find your getting ready location.

If the location is hard to find please provide me with some directions or some landmarks to look out for. If your house number or name isn’t visible please consider marking with some balloons to help your suppliers locate you.

If you are staying over in a hotel room or manor house it will be useful to know exact location as well as room number. If location doesn’t have an on site Bridal Suite please inform reception what room number you are in so they can guide your suppliers to where you are.

I cannot be held responsible for any delays beyond my control, including weather conditions, acts of God, etc. If you have noticed any issues or possible delays with traveling to your location please drop me a message to inform me so I can allow extra travel time. 

If mobile reception is poor in location please provide me with hotel landline incase I need to contact you on the day.

Location of service for the day of wedding will be at the discretion of yourself however there are certain requirements I will need to complete the service;

  • A large table/work area (needs to be available for Makeup Artist)
  • Natural Lighting (I do also have a light but a bright window would be ideal)
  • Electric point for Light 
  • A high chair/stool (if possible)

Some Venues enforce time restrictions on your use of their bridal suites/dressing rooms and do not allow access to their premises until a certain time. This can result in not having enough time to complete all of the bridal party. I strongly recommend that you consider seeking a different location to get ready in so there is a relaxed and calm environment and no rushing on your day.

If however you do want to have multiple preparation locations an addition surcharge for time & travel will incur. 

CLIENT OBLIGATIONS

Please ensure every member of the party is aware of timings (a schedule will be sent out with invoice after booking has been secured) The time I arrive to you depends on what time you need to be ready. Please be ready for service at the designated time to allow a smooth service.

Prior to having makeup applied, please ensure each client is on time and ready for service, skin to be makeup free and prepped by exfoliating & applying normal skincare.

I reserve the right to refuse service to any client for, but not limited to, any behaviour deemed rude, offensive threatening or abusive. 

I also reserve the right to refuse a client on the day if no booking has been made prior. If someone wants to add on last minute I will need to know at least 48 hours before day to allow extra time to do so (if I can fit them in)

ALLERGIES & CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is the clients responsibility to inform the artist of any allergies, or past reactions before makeup application.

I reserve the right to refuse an application if any of the parties have contagious conditions or have flu like symptoms, the following contraindications will prevent or restrict the clients application ; eye infections, conjunctivitis, stye, facial herpes, open/weeping wounds, fungal infections, ringworm etc.

All of my brushes/equipment are kept sanitary between applications. Please allow time for this.

It is the brides responsibility to inform me of any illnesses, pregnancies or disabilities within the bridal party that could affect makeup application.

SOCIAL MEDIA

During trial I will take photos to ensure I recreate the look on the day, these photos will not be posted to social media.

Please let me know in advanced if yourself or any of your bridal party are unhappy with me taking photos/videos on the day. I use these for content for my socials and will not post them until at least 24 hours after your big day.

Any additional suppliers that use my work in their content I would really appreciate to be tagged (avriljarrettmua)

ABROAD WEDDINGS

International weddings can be made 18 months ahead as they may require other dates either side of the booking and take more planning.

International weddings require return transfers, flights, insurances, parking and accommodation to be paid for, in full, by the client.

International weddings are to be priced individually (please state all information on wedding booking form)

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Any additional expenses such as toll charges, parking etc are to covered by the client.

A surcharge of £100 will incur for London weddings.

A surcharge of £100 will incur for any weddings booked on Bank Holidays.

TIMINGS

A schedule will be sent to Bride with timings for each client, I do my best to work closely to these timings but it is your responsibility to ensure all clients are on time and ready for their application slot.

A start and end time will be agreed between myself and Bride on trial date. Each service requires a certain length of time (Bridesmaids/MOB/MOG – 45 mins, Bride – 1hr) please consider this when booking.

I have a minimum booking of 4 people for Bridal parties (Bride + 3 Adults) and maximum of 7, if another artist is required I can provide a recommendation list.

Touch ups for all bridal party will be allocated a 20 minute slot after all the applications have been completed, please note that I do not like applying any makeup near dresses so these will be done prior to your bridal party getting dressed.

I suggest having all bridal party complete 1hr before ceremony time, this allows time for photography and registrars etc.

TRIALS

Trials are separate from wedding booking (please see price list on website) this payment is made on the day with preferred payment method.

I suggest every Bride has a trial 3-6 months before wedding day this is to allow enough time for any changes and to ensure my products are the same.

If you are planning on having a tan for your big day please come to your trial with a tan, this is to ensure we create the exact look you are wanting and it won’t be dissimilar on the day.

Trials are done Mon-Friday from my beauty room located in Sittingbourne, Kent OR I can also be mobile for Essex trials but these do incur a travel charge of 50p per mile, please state where you are based on your Wedding booking form.

Unfortunately I cannot accommodate weekend trials through the months May – October due to this being peak wedding season.

My beauty room can only accommodate up to 4 people and occasionally I work alongside another artist in there so room can be limited, please let me know if you are bringing anyone with you before the trial.

Please allow up to 2hours for bridal trial and 1hr 15 for additional trials.

One in depth look is created on your trial day, sometimes if any changes have been made it may be a little unwearable especially if you want to try two different eye looks (so please keep this in mind if you are going out after ) 

If another trial is wanted by the client then another trial charge is required.

CANCELLATIONS

In order to ensure that other clients are not compromised, any cancellation of a booking will incur the following fees:

  • If cancelled 18 weeks (4 months) prior to your booked wedding date – 25% of the remaining balance is to be paid
  • If cancelled 12 weeks (3 months) prior to your wedding date 50% of the remaining balance is to be paid
  • If cancelled 4 weeks or less 100% or the remaining balance is to be paid. 

I will only ever cancel your booking if your date clashes with an unpredictable life event such as pregnancy, due date, illness or if it clashes with a close friends or family members wedding. In the unlikely that this happens I will notify you at the earliest opportunity and will try and find you another artist or full deposit will be paid back.

 

The bride is solely responsible for ensuring that I receive a cancellation notice, failure to cancel without notifying me will result in an invoice for the relevant fees.

For any changes to bridal party (if someone decides or cancels their makeup) the following applies:

  • Their deposit will be lost (deposits are non transferable)
  • If cancelled 8 weeks or less 100% of the remaining balance will still be required on the day

Please notify me with any changes to bridal party booking with urgency so I can make changes to scheduling/timings etc. 

INSURANCE

My public Liability insurance is available on request.
